Compac CG™ (often referred to as Compaq CG) is a high-performance kettle fining agent derived from semi-refined kappa carrageenan (red seaweed). It is specifically designed to improve wort clarity by precipitating haze-forming proteins during the boil, leading to a cleaner fermentation and brighter finished beer.
Home-Brew Dosage Rate: 1 tablet or 0.2g – 0.5g of granules per 23 litres.
Commercial Dosage Rate: 1–3 g/hL (Standard) up to 5 g/hL for high-protein grists.

Compac CG Tablets are typically added to wort at rates in the range 2-6g/hl. For most homebrew scenarios, one tablet is more than enough to do the job! Compac CG Tablets are best added to the kettle 10 minutes before the end of the boiling period. Compac CG Tablets contain a dispersion aid so can alternatively be added during transfer to the whirlpool.
