Bentonite is a clay with a negatively charged surface which attracts positively charged compounds (proteins in your wine) to remove it from your wine. It is an absorbent material that bonds with the particles in your wine to clarify your wine.

Bentonite is a clay-based clarifying agent used in winemaking and beer brewing. Bentonite, which is negatively charged, binds and removes haze forming proteins that are positively charged. Bentonite does not stop the fermentation process and can be used in wine while wine is still busy fermenting.
Clarifying Silica Solution Nr1 – 100ml – Our silica solution is a specific fining agent for wort and it is made of amorphous silicon dioxide at a concentration of 30%. Technical characteristics such as surface area, particle size and charge are specifically adjusted in order to achieve the highest possible absorption of coarse break (coarse trub).
Polygel Beer Stabiliser – 60g
Polygel Preserves beer colour, aroma, flavour and has no effect on the foam.
1-4 g/L to be added after mashing (before wort filtering) or 5 – 10min before the end of the boil. It is a slightly hygroscopic product and must therefore be stored in a dry place.
Gelatine – 100g
Boil 250 ml water and let cool to 65˚C or below.
Measure out 1 teaspoon of gelatin and dissolve in the water. (1teaspoon of gelatin is enough for 18L of brew)
Pour mixture into your fermenter and allow the beer to stand for 2 days and clear. You can also cold crash to speed up the clearing process.
Bottle or keg as usual.
