Duotight Complete Blowtie Spunding Valve Kit

The DuoTight BlowTie Spunding Valve Kit / Pressure Relief Valve Kit has been designed for simplicity and ease of use. This model has integrated pressure gauge for adjusting residual pressure in a Fermenter, making pressure control easy.

Using the DuoTight O-Ring system will make fitting tubes to this unit simple and quick ensuring leak free connection. The adjustment knob on the top of the unit makes it easy to increase and decrease the set pressure.

The DuoTight BlowTie Spunding Valve Kit / Pressure Relief Valve Kit can also be used for Compressed Air, CO², Nitrogen, Mains Water Supply and many other additions that require pressure control

Instructions for Cleaning:

The DuoTight BlowTie Spunding Valve Kit / Pressure Relief Valve Kit can be easily disassembled for cleaning using a Philips head screw driver.

Compatibility:

Designed to suit 8mm (5/16″) EVABarrier Tubing.

Compatible with both the 4mm ID Tubing or 5mm ID Tubing.

Pressure Fermentations:

The BlowTie Spunding Valve has been specifically designed for Pressurised Fermentations.

As this process is becoming ever more popular, it has become increasingly important to have a method of regulating and controlling the residual pressure from the fermentation process.

Pressure Transfers:

Pressure transfers from Keg to Keg, Keg to Bottle, or Fermenter to Keg, it is often a good idea to have head pressure in the Keg you are filling into especially if you are transferring a beverage that is carbonated.

The BlowTie Spunding Valve can consistently control the head pressure giving you a more consistent result and without losing carbonation in the process.

Traditional Spunding Valves VS The BlowTie Spunding Valve:

Traditional Spunding Valves that use a simple spring against a seal, are inherently flawed right from the beginning. The physical aspects of the design dictates that you will have a significant difference between the opening pressure and closing pressure during operation. Brewers have tolerated this imperfection for long enough without being able to control these pressures.

The BlowTie Spunding Valve has been manufactured and designed in a completely different way. The BlowTie makes use of a diaphragm to actuate the sealing mechanism, this will release pressure from the pressure vessel with a much more accurate and controlled pressure.

Instructions:
The Yellow Adjustment Knob is use to control the pressure coming out of the pressure vessel:

Clockwise – Higher Pressure.

Anti-Clockwise – Lower Pressure.

We recommend gassing a Keg to a known pressure.

For example: 15 psi, after which you can attach the DuoTight BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve / Pressure Relief Kit BlowTie Spunding Valve Kit to the Keg and adjust to 10 psi.

Please Note:

The gauges on the DuoTight BlowTie Spunding Valve / Pressure Relief Valve are accurate to about 10% of the range of the pressure gauge. So if you use the lowest range possible it will ensure the best possible accuracy.

DO NOT EXCEED GAUGE PRESSURE.

If the gauge pressure is set higher than the graduations on the gauge, it will be damaged.
