East Kent Golding is often thought of as the ultimate English hop. Grown exclusively in Kent, England and descended from Canterbury Whitebine, it is a centuries old variety. Despite claims to the contrary, it is identical to Canterbury Golding. The two names have been used interchangeably for some time. Canterbury is a town in East Kent and the hop was first brought to market there in 1790.

The hops bags are over vacummed and the hops is a quite crushed. I onsell the hops and my customers don’t like crushed hops. They want the pellets. Please don’t vacuum the bag so much.
Thanks Odette, we do prefer to get all the oxygen out of the bag (as oxygen is definitely bad for the hops) but we’ll see if we can prevent the crushing in the future somehow! Thanks for the constructive feedback!
